Monday!
Today the younger campers heard lessons from their counselors, and the older campers heard from Fr. Joel Weir (St. John’s Camp Priest), and a panel of priests made up of Fr. Joel Weir, Fr. David Wey, and Fr. James Ellison. The campers were given the opportunity to ask whatever questions they wanted to of the priests. The discussion was very good and the campers asked some tough questions! Welp, Winter Camp 2010 is officially over, much to the chagrin of its campers and staff. Thank you everyone for a wonderful retreat, and we hope to see you at Summer Camp 2011! Glory to Jesus Christ! Winter Camp 2010 Update & Teachings
Winter Camp has been a blast so far! Fr. Joel and Tim gave excellent teachings on the topic of “guilt”, with 42 campers participating in the Q&A and in small groups discussing the teachings! Yesterday was 60 degrees and a mix of sunshine and thunderstorms – thanks be to God for the warm weather! Several of the campers headed out to the activity field for an intense game of football, while others played games and took walks in the beautiful Rivervale woods. Winter Camp 2010 Off & Running
With the Winter sun streaming into the Old Bethel chapel window, illuminating the incense hanging in the air, Winter Camp 2010 is off to a running start, with a wonderful praise time and opening session by Sdn. Luke on the theme of “Guilt.” (session recording below) Campers are now eating snacks and playing a multitude of various board and card games, and having a blast!
